Please post 2 or more peer responses

In the response posts, remember to demonstrate you have read and understood the student’s post by taking their discussion to the next level through your responses to the following:

· Study the structure of a classmate’s molecules. Comment on any missed functional groups.

· List three functional groups that were not part of the molecule.

· Identify an additional function or use of the molecule.

Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.

Magnesium Glycinate

Magnesium glycinate is a vitamin supplement created by the combination of the mineral magnesium and glycine, an amino acid (Mayo Clinic, 2024). The molecule in the image of the PowerPoint slide is C4H8MgN2O4 and the functional groups have been circled and labeled.

There is a functional group of amines within this molecule. The amine group acts like an amino acid in that it helps to form peptide bonds (Chem Talk, n.d.). The amino acid magnesium helps the human body in many ways but has been proven to improve the function of nerves, heart, muscles, cells, and bones (Mayo Clinic, 2024).

The functional group of carbonyls with ketone is also present because of the double bond that is connected to the carbon chain (LibreTexts Chemistry, n.d.). The molecules of the carbonyl functional group are polar and are found to have higher melting and boiling points (Britannica, 2018). These findings of the organic chemistry of this molecule appear to be aligned with the functional groups in how it functions.

THIAMINE
Thiamine is one of the important vitamins under the umbrella term,

B-complex vitamins, of which there are 8 in total.

Structure of Thiamine

• Thiazole rings and pyrimidine rings

-It is Amine but has several function

groups

-Thiazole function group

-Hydroxyl function group

-It is water soluble

-Occurs naturally and specific diets

Function of Thiamine Based on its structure

• Diamine plays an important role in helping the body convert
carbohydrates from fat into energy. It is essential for normal growth and
development. It is also an essential micro nutrient for humans and
animals, found in food and dietary supplements/medications.

• Are the thiamine molecules composed of pyrimidine and thighs oleum
rings which are linked by meth Eileen bridge between C3 carbon atom of
pyrimidine ring and N3 nitrogen atom of those oleum ring.

• based on its structure, it’s function follows suit by participating in the
metabolism of carbohydrates and bioenergetic processes, and is
particularly important for the proper functioning of nervous
cardiovascular and locomotive systems.

Early Intervention (EI) focuses on the active participation of families in the EI process by engaging caregivers in the planning and implementation of services provided to the child. This requires a collaborative partnership between early childhood professionals and families where equal participation by all those involved is highly encouraged. Collaboration
